Falling in Love with Colour (and Letting it Be Messy)
Share
I didn’t always notice colour the way I do now.
But once I began painting — really painting — it was like seeing colour for the first time. The way it moves, blends, glows, and collides. Each shade began to carry emotion. Energy. Magic. I fell in love with it.
That first step into painting shifted something in me. And now, after a little pause, I’m back at it again. Back in the studio — my own creative space — and it feels so good. The paint, the texture, the flow… it lights me up from the inside out.
If there’s something creative you’ve been wanting to do, just do it. Seriously. Don’t wait until you feel ready or perfect or confident. I started by simply imagining myself painting and leaning into how good that felt. That was enough to begin.
And if anxiety tries to creep in? Let it know you’re not available for fear today. You’re choosing joy. Ease. Empowerment. Even if you don’t know what you’re doing, there’s something beautiful in just showing up.
Let it be messy. Let it be fun. Let go of the pressure to get it right — and just follow what lights you up.
Because the truth is: once you begin, your whole world starts to bloom with colour.
