Watching the sky unfold into one breathtaking colour after another, painting the mountains in colours she knew she’d never forget.

Sitting wrapped together beneath a blanket beside the fire as the mountain air turned cool around them.

Lingering over the beautifully prepared local tasting menu that had been waiting for them, every plate crafted with the same care as everything else Rhett had planned.

A bottle of wine that had somehow emptied without either of them noticing.

Conversations that had drifted effortlessly from one subject to the next.

Laughter.

Long silences that had never once felt uncomfortable.
